Tony Loparco recognized as a “Top 25 Most Influential Lawyer” by Canadian Lawyer

OCAA President, Tony Loparco, has been recognized as one of the top 25 most influential lawyers of 2020 and a “changemaker” for his leadership in the COVID-19 pandemic response within the criminal justice system.

Loparco, along with his counterpart at the CLA, John Struthers, was instrumental in ensuring that appropriate steps were (and continue to be) taken to best protect all justice system participants.  They worked tirelessly and without break during the early stages of the pandemic, making sure no aspect of health and safety was overlooked as the Ministry worked to develop a COVID response.

The co-operation and leadership demonstrated by the OCAA and the CLA  was instrumental in impacting key provincial strategies and also assisting individual counsel navigate the evolving practice of law during COVID-19 times.  John Struthers has also been recognized as influential in Human Rights, Advocacy and Criminal Law for his efforts.
